Bunker Backup is a wholly owned subsidiary of Allied Westminster (Systems) Limited (AWS). AWS was established in 1992 as part of the Allied Westminster Group of companies, to provide software services to the UK financial planning market.
 AWS recognised the increasing dependence that all businesses place on electronic data particularly those in the financial services sector. The critical nature of this data has meant that it's safe storage and backup has become a matter of the first importance. Traditional methods of backing up are at best cumbersome and time consuming; at worst they fail to work.
The growing need for a better way to back up critical data along with the availability of cheaper and faster connectivity, particularly the widespread and rapid adoption of Broadband, created the perfect conditions for the growing success of Bunker Backup.
